An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest” – According to the founding father of the United States, Benjamin Franklin, one always gets the best fruitful results if he or she invests the time in learning. Keeping that in mind I cannot possibly feel more privileged or fortunate than being a part of Bengal College of Pharmaceutical Technology. In this brief essay, I’ll try to give an insightful view of my college experience.

College is generally known as the most celebrated chapter of student life. But it is also the time we should get serious about our career. It’s quite a different discourse from school. One might think that college is not as safe as a school but when you step in at Bengal College of Pharmaceutical Technology it’s a different thing. I should proudly claim that the environment of BCPT is as safe as a mother’s lap.

There are also a lot of challenges we’re supposed to face. Like we often move to a new city when we’re being admitted to a college. So, both the city and its culture seems unfamiliar to us. But when you’re at BCPT you don’t need to worry about things like that. The friendly and quite familiar culture of BCPT distinguishes it from most other colleges. The responsive interaction between senior juniors and student-teachers are one of the main tenets of its heritage.

When it’s come to the matter of infrastructure, BCPT offers you the gold mine of knowledge that is the library. It provides numerous books to acquire knowledge. We are also provided with the facilities of large classrooms and a modern science laboratory. The classrooms are one of the best places in the institute. It is the space of learning where I get the opportunity of interacting with my teachers. Our laboratory is equipped with the most modern, standard and sophisticated equipment. The students of BCPT also get the benefit of indoor games like Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom etc. The large playground inside the campus fulfils the purpose of playing outdoor games like cricket, football and so on. Last but not least is the personality development programs conducted by BCPT to communicate and work in different environments.

The most unforgettable memories are often created in the college canteen. In my case, it remains the same. I miss enjoying the meal with my batch mates while gossiping about literally everything.

Moreover, college is the place where one finds his true self and, to be honest BCPT gives me the space to do so. In tough times like this, I can only feel nostalgic while writing this and somehow I feel like the campus, canteen and every single object from the college are invoking me. So let’s walk towards the path shown by Nelson Mandela- “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
