Preamble

Bengal College of Pharmaceutical Technology follows a clear-cut mechanism for continuous monitoring, evaluation of students and takes decisive initiatives for the upliftment of all student’s performance. The student commonly called a slow learner is one who cannot learn at an average rate from the instructional resources, texts, workbooks, and learning materials that are designed for the majority of students in the classroom.

Identification of slow and advanced learners

Marks obtained in the Continuous Assessment 1 (CA1) & Continuous Assessment 2 (CA2) by the students in each class.

• Advanced Learners – 75 % and above

• Slow Learners – Below 50%

Support for slow learners

• Regular counselling during mentor-mentee meeting.

• Remedial classes.

• Providing study material and question bank to students

• Giving assignments to boost their confidence level.

• Discussions on critical topics and motivating them to ask their doubts.

• Monitoring their attendance.

• Conducting regular class tests.

Support for advanced learners

Advanced learners are encouraged to participate

• Minor research projects

• Skill development programmes

• Motivation of students for higher studies and research

• Conducting preparation classes and assessment modules for the GPAT and other competitive examinations.

• Publication of articles in journals and encouraging them to author book chapters.

• Arranging guest lectures, seminars and workshops.

• Motivating and deputing the students to participate in in-house, intercollegiate or state, national and international seminars and conferences.
