Peos Psos

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) for B. Pharm

PEO 1: To build a strong academic foundation in pharmaceutical sciences encompassing pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, and pharmacognosy, enabling graduates to apply these concepts effectively in drug development, quality control, and pharmaceutical analysis across academic and industrial platforms.

PEO 2: To nurture competency-based technical skills and innovation, empowering graduates to integrate pharmaceutical technologies, industrial operations, and modern instrumentation techniques while maintaining compliance with national and international quality standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

PEO 3: To foster ethical values and social responsibility, guiding students to contribute meaningfully to healthcare systems, community pharmacy, and public health awareness while promoting safe and rational drug use through patient-centric services.

PEO 4: To enhance leadership, communication, and collaborative abilities, ensuring that graduate’s function effectively in multidisciplinary teams, manage pharmaceutical operations, and communicate technical knowledge with clarity in both academic and clinical settings.

PEO 5: To encourage lifelong learning, entrepreneurship, and professional advancement, motivating graduates to pursue higher education, research, competitive examinations, or venture into startups and innovation-based careers that address current and emerging healthcare challenges.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs) for B. Pharm

PSO 1: Acquire comprehensive knowledge and professional competencies

Graduates will demonstrate strong knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences (including pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy), coupled with familiarity with drug regulatory frameworks (PCI, AICTE, MAKAUT & WBSCTE guidelines).

PSO 2: Apply laboratory and analytical skills in formulating, evaluating, and ensuring drug safety

Students will be able to operate, control, analyze, and evaluate chemical substances, dosage forms, and pharmaceutical products using modern instrumentation and validated protocols while observing permissible limits and good laboratory practices.

PSO 3: Develop patient-oriented and community pharmacy services

Graduates will be developed in knowledge of hospital pharmacy practice, including dispensing, patient counselling, rational drug use, and pharmacovigilance, respecting ethical, health, safety, and environmental considerations.

PSO 4: Engage in lifelong learning, innovation, and professional growth

Learners will design and manage systems or processes within actual constraints (economic, environmental, and sustainability considerations), critically assess emerging methods and tools, participate in interdisciplinary teams, and pursue continuous development in pharmaceutical research or industry roles.
